Here it is, the final day of NQC and what a week it has been. Friday night was a big night in the concert hall with the Gaither Vocal Band, Signature Sound, Jeff & Sheri Easter, The Hoppers, the Booth Brothers, The Isaacs, Janet Paschal and many more taking the stage to a sold out crowd. Many of us in the exhibition hall gathered around to watch the "live feed" being broadcast from the hall. I didn't move for over an hour, just in awe of the music and ministry taking place. One of the highlights early in the evening was The Hoppers performing "Jerusalem" and "Yahweh" with a choir and the songwriter/worship leader of these 2 powerful songs, Paula Stefanovich. WOW! It was church!
Tonight is the Singing News Fan Awards and the Grand Finale to wrap up a wonderful week. More to come about this later.
EVIDENT CALL will be traveling home tomorrow, so please pray for a safe trip for us.

WE ARE HERE! National Quartet Convention week has arrived and we have not stopped! Monday we had the privilege of interviewing with Paul Heil of "The Gospel Greats" radio show that airs on XM satellite radio "ENLIGHTEN" and other stations nationwide. Tuesday we were asked to be a part of the Crossroads Music artist spotlight showcase. WOW! We had church! So many talented groups and soloists, lifting up the name of our Lord in praise. That's what it's all about! More later this week.........

What a great July 4th! Evident Call spent the day with their families, grilling out and watching fireworks, celebrating our great nation's independence. Thank God today for the opportunity to live in the United States of America, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

This past Sunday we traveled to Marion NC and Candler, NC to minister in song. Sunday morning we were blessed to be a part of the service at Clinchfield Baptist in Marion, NC and Sunday evening we were in concert at Starnes Cove Baptist Church in Candler, NC. We thoroughly enjoyed this day with some really nice folks at both churches. Sunday afternoon was spent with Tim and Tony's family in Candler who provided lunch for us and a place to rest between services. Wonderful time with them, we even sang a couple of hymns around the piano. Special thanks to Phyllis for opening her home to us. Also, check out new pictures from the weekend and video.

We hope that all of you dads had a great Father's day. Tim and Tony enjoyed the day with their children and grandchildren. Today (Saturday) we appeared on the Tony Peace Gospel Showcase in Austell, GA along with southern gospel legend Naomi Sego Reader. This precious lady is celebrating 50 years in the southern gospel industry and made the statement she is not going to retire any time soon. We were in awe as we listened to her sing with a clarity and passion in her voice which could only be attributed to the anointing. She loved what she was doing and it was evident. What a privilege for us to be on the same stage with her. We had a great time meeting new folks. Thanks to all of you who came by our booth to say hello. Recently EVIDENT CALL was invited to interview with DJ Dwayne Fowler at WEMM FM in Huntington, W VA. Our single "HIS NAME IS JESUS" has been a favorite with the listeners of WEMM, charting at #10 on their top 20 last month. WEMM FM is the market's largest Christian radio station that extends into the Tri-state region of Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. Dwayne chatted with us about our beginnings in the music industry and how we got together to form EVIDENT CALL. We had a lot of fun during the 15 minute interview. Dwayne chose another song from our current CD to air. He really liked "MY LORD I WANT TO SEE" which is sung by Tony! So thanks Dwayne for the "kudos" on our music! We appreciate it and hope to see you good folks in the Tri-state area in the near future!

To all of you moms out there, we hope you had a wonderful Mother's day. EVIDENT CALL shared the day with residents at Greenville Place Assisted Living in Greenville, SC. We did a mini concert for them and had a great time. We met some really nice folks and took pictures, check out the photo gallery. One sweet gentleman, Joe, thought I (Monica) was gonna give him a kiss as we brought him in to take a picture with us. You'll see me laughing in the picture with him and I did give him a "peck" on the cheek! So cute! Thank you to Marlene for having us over. We were blessed! Stay tuned for more news later this week!

Wow! Can you believe we are already at the end of April? Once again, the report for this month on our single had even more radio adds with some increasing from light to medium-heavy rotation. There is also a station reporting us in their top 15 chart again this month. We recently discovered HIS NAME IS JESUS is a featured song on the radio hit maker at www.southerngospelreporter.com. Check out the player on the front page of the site, select a song, scroll down and there we are! We're right there with The Gaither Vocal Band, Michael English, The Oak Ridge Boys, Squire Parsons, Booth Brothers, Talley Trio, The Hoppers and the list goes on. We could hardly contain our excitement to be included with some of today's great gospel singers. Tim had the opportunity to do a radio interview this evening with DJ Dee Cooper of WPIO in Titusville, FL. They are celebrating their 20th anniversary this month and have been playing interviews from the past of several gospel greats. We were invited to participate as a new artist and give the folks in central Florida a little more insight into EVIDENT CALL. Tim did a great job, whew! and handled it like a pro. Thanks Dee for letting us share in the celebration and for playing our single. We hope your listeners like our music.

It has been almost a week since the release of our debut CD and we so appreciate all that were able to celebrate with us. We had a blast and hope you did too! That evening we took up a love offering for the Good Hope Center in Tabora, Tanzania. Tim and Monica visited Tabora on a missions trip in 2006 with their good friend, Jo Ann Case. The Good Hope Center is an orphanage in Tabora opening sometime this summer or early fall. The offering taken was over $1,000! We were absolutely thrilled at the generosity of everyone and for catching the vision with us. If you would like more information, please go to our contact page, give us your name, email address, etc and we will forward it to Jo Ann. She would love to share her passion for missions and tell you more of the story about the orphanage. Thank you again for your support. Let His glory be known throughout the whole earth!

This past Saturday (23rd) was the official release date of our debut CD, "EVIDENT CALL". We had a great time with everyone that evening with family and friends, old and new. The celebration was held at the church that Tim, Liz and I attend, North Greenville Christian Fellowship, Travelers Rest, SC. Our pastor, Sam Wenger, emceed the evening for us and did a fantastic job. He has been so gracious to us in this endeavor and continues to encourage us as we move forward in this ministry. God's presence was truly with us as we presented this evening of music. It is our hearts' desire whenever we sing that people are touched by His presence and they can know there is a God who truly loves and cares for them. Always for His glory, for He alone is worthy!

We got our first report today on radio play across the nation for our new single "HIS NAME IS JESUS"! It appears we are getting light to medium air play on several stations which is great for a new group and our first single. Woohoo! So if you have a local station that plays southern gospel or country gospel, call them and request our song. If they don't have it, let us know via our contact page and we will get the song to them. IT’S ALMOST HERE! We are so excited that our first project will launched at our CD Release Celebration soon. We have been in the studio since August of 2007 working with our producer and friend, Steve Mauldin, to bring to life the sound of EVIDENT CALL. It was a great time with all those involved, lots of hours, hard work, humbling experiences (thanks Steve!), lots of laughter (I mean a lot), new friends and most of all, we had fun!
We have been told that we have a traditional, southern gospel sound with an “edge”. I think we are still looking for the “edge” but it is a unique blend of harmonies. Tony, Tim and I each bring to the table our own style and tastes in music. It’s wonderful to see God working through us, uniting our hearts and voices to honor and glorify Him through the music. We love it and its fun! Hmmmm……there’s that word again, fun! Well, if you can’t fun in the midst of it, why do it, right? We enjoy what we do and we love the One we serve, Jesus.
Zepheniah 3: 17 says, “For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” (NLT) Or another translation says, “….he will rejoice over you with singing.”
That’s what I see…..the Father smiling, laughing with us and singing over us as we delight ourselves in Him through the music. Thank you Lord!
